On the 24th of November I was invited to visit Kobe Suite Resort in Watamu. I was there for an entire weekend and I got to experience the hotel.
I’ve been to North Coast and Diani many times but this was my first time in Watamu and I have to say, it pretty much what I imagined.
You can vacation in this little piece of paradise by booking via their website here or calling on +254 708 249 051
We took a flight from JKIA to Malindi International Airport. The flight had no delays and we were there in 1 hour and 5 minutes.
From the airport we were picked up and we drove for 25 to 30 minutes to get to the hotel. The hotel offers airport transfers on request.
The hotel is located off Turtle Bay Road and is right next to the beach.Kobe Suite Resort has been in operation for 2 years, they launched in 2014. For that entire time they had 5 ocean view rooms.
In November 2016 they expanded and added 18 garden view rooms. Their total rooms are 23.
I stayed in the garden view rooms and the view was gorgeous. The rooms have a minimalistic design and they are picture perfect.
The rooms come with an Italian electric plug however the hotel does provide an extension. If you have many electronics, you can carry your own extension cable.
The hotel has 2 swimming pools, a beach bar and lounge as well as a breakfast area near the pool.
The lunch and dinner section was my favourite. It’s next to the beach bar and you have your feet in the sand as you eat and while you take in the beauty of the ocean.
The hotel has a rooftop view section where you can experience the sunrise and sunset.
Lets talk about the food! The food was amazing. You can be sure to find alot of Italian food that is well made with so much flavour.
For breakfast you get a buffet and you can order anything else you need made from the kitchen like eggs and bacon etc
For lunch and dinner its all À la carte. You make your order just before lunch and just before dinner.
They have impeccable service, Paul, my photographer is vegan and they managed to cater to him without prior notice.
This location is heaven and I will definitely be going back in 2017.
