I started taking Centonomy Entrepreneur classes twoards the end of May 2019 and this was due to the fact that I needed to educate myself more in regards to my company Shop New Level.
There are so many things that help run a successful business and as much as I know I can’t do them all; I know that I need to educate myself on what exactly those things are.
Centonomy has 14 modules and they happen in a 14 week period. The classes are usually once a week and you have the choice of attending the Tuesday morning class or the Saturday morning class. The lecturers are different for each module.
The 5 big takeaways from this class are:
Start with what you have – I’m aware that some businesses, dreams, and visions require money but what can you do now in the meantime? What resources do you have at this moment? Whatever that is, use it. Always remember, your current reality has nothing to do with your vision.
Be in a relationship with fear – It’s easy to say just start yet there’s always a little voice saying “who do you think you are” “you can’t do this” “this is not meant for you” etc. I remember this class very well, in module 3. Waceke said you need to be aware of your fear, it never leaves you, you just get smarter on how to handle it. Grow your courage muscle and get wiser on when the fear starts to creep in.
Don’t be rigid with your vision – In the same module 3, we learnt that the vision for your company will change and you should move and morphe with the times. I had been so rigid for so long and I always thought that whatever dream and vision I had for the company that is what I stuck to.
Pay Yourself First – The lecturer pointed out that a lot of entrepreneurs do not pay themselves. Yes I know it’s hard but you are the person that does the most and puts in 1000% of the work. Your business is not charity work and you need to pay yourself, if you don’t you will look for other sources of income which in turn you will have less time to work on your company.
Cashflow Management – I learnt that this is the single most important thing when running your business. Cash is King. This was the most intense class for me and also a huge favourite. Learning about your sales and cash cycle is very important in any business.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
